Another way to make an Apache that didn't have 64 bit architectures in it would be to use lipo (again, see man pages). This would be easier than compiling, and could be done each time you ended up with a new Apache. But as John suggested, arch is probably even better.</description>

		<description>John, that's a nice tip! Maybe I'll change the startup scripts to run apache under the arch command. It seems a lot safer that replacing Apache like I did.</description>
